Preventing Addiction
Rising addiction rates pose serious challenges to society. Prevention requires collective effort—from families, schools, workplaces, and organizations. Key strategies include education, awareness campaigns, promoting healthy lifestyles, and teaching stress management skills. Creating safe and engaging environments helps reduce the risk of addiction.
Encouraging Recovery
Motivation and support are vital for those seeking to overcome addiction. Providing tailored resources such as counseling, therapy, peer support groups, and safe spaces for open conversation can empower individuals to begin and sustain their recovery journey.
Awareness Campaigns
Community campaigns play a powerful role in raising awareness about addiction. These initiatives—through media, social platforms, public events, and school partnerships—aim to educate, reduce stigma, and promote support and recovery. Formats include seminars, webinars, charity events, videos, and educational posters.
Publications & Media Outreach
Under the Green Crescent Institute's media division, banners, posters, videos, and promotional content are designed and distributed across social media, high-traffic areas, and educational centers. The goal is to raise awareness, encourage support, and promote recovery from addiction.
AGCO – Fighting Addiction, Building Resilience
AGCO is a Kabul-based Afghan organization working since 2017 to combat drug addiction through prevention, treatment, and public awareness. We empower communities through volunteerism, education, and recovery support—creating safe spaces for healing and connection.
Our services span 21 provinces across Afghanistan, delivering outreach programs, counseling, rehabilitation support, and awareness campaigns in schools, public spaces, and local communities.
