From September 1 to 14, 2025, Amna Health Clinic successfully provided essential healthcare services to vulnerable residents in the Lowa camp and the Returnee camp in Khas Kunar District, Afghanistan. During this impactful two-week period, a total of 802 individuals—410 women and 392 men—received medical care from a dedicated team of four doctors, two midwives, and one pharmacist.

Responding to urgent health needs
Following the suspension of USAID funding for local clinics, the health situation in Kunar Province has deteriorated. Amna Health Clinic stepped in with full commitment to fill this critical gap. The mobile medical team continues to serve returnee camps and affected villages, ensuring access to healthcare for those in need.
Earthquake Response: 802 Lives Reached
Since the recent earthquake in Kunar, Amna Health Clinic has reached 802 individuals with life-saving services. This achievement—delivered with minimal resources—highlights the invaluable role of volunteer heroes who supported the mission.
Future Expansion Plans
Amna Health Clinic aims to expand its healthcare outreach beyond the camps to underserved rural areas, including:
- Chawkay District
- Dewagal District
- Khas Kunar District
- Narang District
