Emergency Response

Emergency Response Program

The Prophet saw said “the likeness of the believers in their mutual love, mercy and affection is like that of a body. When one limb of it complains, the rest of the body reacts with sleeplessness and fever” (Bukhari and Muslim)

A humanitarian emergency is a life-threatening scenario in which there is clear proof that an incident or set of events has happened that is causing human suffering or is imminently endangering lives and livelihoods. With the world continuously changing around us, environmental and political catastrophes appear to be occurring more regularly. It is also true that poorer countries suffer disproportionately from such disasters, owing to a number of reasons such as inadequate infrastructure or leadership.

The humanitarian assistance society knows this fact and is thus ready to deploy teams of experts to provide food, drink, clothes, shelter and health care immediately after a catastrophe – wherever and whenever it occurs. This year we responded to a severe war victim by providing the people of Kunduz, Takhar, Badakhshan, Baghlan and Balkh with hygiene and sanitation and medical camp, ultimately benefitting 500 families.

We ensure that food, shelter, sanitation and medical care can be given to people who have lost everything without delay.
