Orphans & Widows Sponsorship

Orphans Sponsorship program

Abu Hurairah (RA) reports that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) stated” Whoever caresses the head of an orphan (in affection), solely for the sake of Allah, a good deed will be written to his account for every hair over which he passed his hand, and whoever treated an orphan (boy or girl) with goodness and kindness, he and I will be close to each-other in Heaven as these two fingers” The Prophet (SAW) made a gesture with his fingers as explained above.

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “One who lends effort to the widows and the poor is like one waging jihad in the way of Allah, or one who regularly prays at night and fasts during the day.”

Losing one or both parents is often associated with losing a child’s lifeblood in poor countries where children are already subjected to the consequences of conflict, poverty, and natural catastrophe.

These orphans are left to fend for themselves, often from an early age, and are vulnerable to starvation, sickness, and exploitation. Their educational opportunities are limited, their safety is jeopardized, and their prospects are poor. Not to mention the profound sadness and anguish they will bear for the rest of their life.

Humanitarian Assistance Society believes that it is our common responsibility to care for these children, wherever they may be in Afghanistan. Donors may help an orphan with all of life’s essentials through our long-standing sponsorship program, including food, clothes, housing, healthcare, and education.

Furthermore, what distinguishes us from other sponsorship programs is that we respect the orphan’s emotional, mental, and psychological well-being. The Humanitarian Assistance Society recognizes that the death of one or both parents may be tremendously upsetting for a child. As a result, we provide tailored psychosocial assistance and counseling.

When you support an orphan via Humanitarian Assistance Society, you may be confident that they are receiving comprehensive care to ensure a brighter future.

Widows Sponsorship program

In Afghanistan, the male is frequently the breadwinner and is in charge of providing for his family. However, when he dies, his family is sometimes left in an exceedingly vulnerable situation and frequently faces genuine suffering.

Your contributions enable widows to live independently and with hope for the future. Humanitarian Assistance Society provides sponsorship for widows and their families, as well as livelihood programs that enable widows to obtain the skills necessary to support themselves and, eventually, restore hope for a brighter future.
