Amena Mobile Clinic in Ghor – Free Health Services for Vulnerable Families
The Amena Regional and Mobile Clinic has started operating in the Khwaja Ghar area of Firozkoh District, Ghor Province, with the aim of improving access to essential health services for vulnerable families. This clinic was established as a replacement for previous health services that had been suspended in the area and aims to provide comprehensive healthcare services to residents of this remote region. This project is implemented by the Afghanistan Green Crescent Organization (AGCO) with financial support from the Humaniti Charity.
All services are completely free and include:
- Health Check-ups: Assessment of patients’ health status and disease diagnosis
- Vaccination: Administration of essential vaccines for children and adults
- Health Counseling: Educating families on proper nutrition, personal hygiene, and disease prevention
- Supportive Care for Families: Special attention to maternal and child health
Impact of the Clinic:
- Providing easy and regular access to health services in remote areas of Ghor Province
- Filling the gap in health services in Khwaja Ghar and surrounding villages after previous services were suspended
- Improving health awareness and reducing disease risks among the target community
This initiative is a significant step towards improving the health and social welfare of needy families in one of the country’s most hard-to-reach areas.
